June 2026
June is packed with exciting updates, new programs, and important resources. Grab a cup of coffee and read on!
June is Men’s Mental Health Month, a time to recognize the importance of emotional well-being and encourage open conversations around mental health.
At Note-Able Music Therapy Services, we understand that self-expression looks different for everyone. Not all individuals feel comfortable communicating through words alone. Creative outlets such as music, movement, songwriting, and improvisation can offer meaningful ways to connect and express emotions in ways that feel natural and accessible.
Through music therapy and adaptive music experiences, NMTS strives to create welcoming spaces where individuals feel encouraged to participate authentically, build confidence, and connect with others through shared experiences.

NMTS Dance Troupe Returns to Dog Days of Summer Festival
NMTS is excited to share that our Dance Troupe has once again been accepted to perform in the Pioneer Center for the Performing Arts’ Dog Days of Summer Dance Festival this August.
Dog Days of Summer is a free, family-friendly outdoor performance series that highlights local dance organizations from across Northern Nevada while supporting the SPCA of Northern Nevada. The festival brings the community together through movement, creativity, and live performance in a vibrant outdoor setting.
Last year, the NMTS Dance Troupe premiered “No Others,” an original piece choreographed by Wendy Firestone exploring themes of compassion, inclusion, and shared humanity. We are honored to return for the festival’s fifth year and look forward to sharing more details as they are announced by the Pioneer Center.
Be sure to follow NMTS on social media for updates, behind-the-scenes moments, and future performance announcements.
Note to self - Fourth year participating
A Record-Breaking Spring Recital
This year’s NMTS Spring Recital brought together our largest group of performers yet for an evening celebrating creativity, dedication, and inclusive performance. Musicians, singers, songwriters, and dancers of all ages and abilities took the stage to share the work they have been preparing throughout the year.
As always, the recital featured an incredible range of talent and experience levels. Some participants performed in front of an audience for the very first time, while others returned to the stage with years of performance experience behind them. Every performance reflected the effort, individuality, and creativity that make the NMTS community so special.
Missed the recital or want to revisit some favorite moments? Performances from this year’s recital are available now on the NMTS YouTube channel.
