Jerry Smith Auditorium
The Jerry Smith Auditorium is NMTS’ largest and most versatile event space, designed to accommodate both formal and creative gatherings.
Features: Stage and expansive open floor plan configurable for auditorium-style seating, banquet seating, or an open layout
Size: Approximately 2,600 sq ft
Capacity:
• Up to 150 with auditorium-style seating
• Up to 100 with banquet-style seating (10 48” round tables and 10 cocktail tables; included in rental fee)

Cynthia Lake Conference Room
The Cynthia Lake Conference Room is a welcoming, functional professional space designed for small group collaboration and focused discussion.

Robert Z. Hawkins Foundation Dance Studio
The Robert Z. Hawkins Foundation Dance Studio is a bright, movement-friendly space designed for dance, fitness, and expressive arts.

The Anthem Courtyard is an enclosed outdoor event space offering a unique, open-air setting for gatherings and community events.
Features: Paved courtyard, garden boxes, gated access and direct building access, open layout
Size: Approximately 1,600 sq ft

Ideal for: Outdoor receptions, community events, workshops, celebrations, and casual gatherings
Commercial Kitchen
Our commercial kitchen is a fully equipped, spacious environment designed for cooking, food preparation, and small-scale culinary operations. This is a shared kitchen space.
Features:
Six-burner gas stove and oven, food warming and reheating cabinet, two stainless steel prep tables, two-door commercial refrigerator, one-door commercial freezer, additional Frigidaire freezer, three-compartment sink, dishwasher, handwashing sink, and ample shelving and cabinet storage

Accessibility & Location: Fully accessible and centrally located with nearby bus service
Rental Rates:
$40/hour hourly rate
$30/hour daily rate (6+ hours/day)

Frequently Asked Questions

Rooms can be rented any day of the week, depending on availability. Rooms can be rented between the hours of 8am and 10pm (vacating building no later than 11pm).
Outdoor events must comply with City of Reno noise ordinance requirements.

Yes! NMTS is fully ADA accessible

We ask for a minimum of four (4) weeks’ notice before your event. We do understand that sometimes things come up last minute, so we will try to accommodate you if we can.

If a reservation is cancelled in writing at least 30 days prior to the event, NMTS will issue a full refund minus a $50 administration fee. There will be no refunds given for reservations cancelled with less than seven (7) days’ notice

Yes, you can bring in your own food and drinks. Depending on the type of event, you may need a special permit if you are serving alcohol.

For private events, outside vendors such as face painters, DJs, bartenders, etc are allowed.
Public events must comply with relevant city and country requirements for vendors.

Yes, you are responsible for cleaning up after your event. We have trash and recycling disposal available on site.

Yes. We charge a $200 security deposit, which is refundable if the building is left clean and undamaged.

Yes. We will have a building monitor on site for your event to open and close the building and answer basic questions.
