Our facility at 2590 Orovada Street in Reno is fully accessible, and is near the Oddie Blvd exit on the 395 freeway, with plenty of parking available.
From the Jerry Smith Auditorium (capacity 100 - 150) to our conference and education rooms (capacity 20), and everything in between, NMTS facilities have what you need, with state-of-the art audio and video to make your presentations easy and effective.

When can I host an event?
How far in advance do we need to reserve the space?
What is required to reserve the space?
A non-refundable deposit of 50% of the room fees is required at the time of the reservation in order to hold the reservation. The full rental payment is due the day of the event.
Are you ADA accessible?
Absolutely. The NMTS facility is fully accessible.
Is there parking available?
NMTS has two large parking lots, one to the east and one on the west. In addition, the neighborhood has plenty of available street parking. There is also a drop off zone in the front driveway. This is ideal for people who need the shortest possible walk to access the building.
What is your cancellation and refund policy?
If a reservation is cancelled in writing at least thirty (30) days prior to the event, NMTS will issue a full refund minus a $50 administration fee. There will be no refunds given for reservations cancelled with less than seven (7) days’ notice.
Is there an additional charge to use the audio / visual equipment?
Depending on the room, rental fees include wireless internet, projector, TV, and speakers. Rental fees do not include items such as cords, laptops, and additional A/V items such as microphones which may be available and rented for an additional fee.
Please note: We cannot guarantee your equipment will be compatible with any NMTS A/V system, and NMTS does not provide technical support during your event. It is your responsibility to understand how to safely and proficiently use NMTS’ equipment.
What is your alcohol policy?
RENTER or its retained caterer may supply, serve, or sell alcoholic beverages to adult guests of legal age on the premises of NMTS in accordance with applicable laws and regulations. The RENTER is responsible for ensuring their attendees are safe in their alcohol consumption. In addition to complying with all applicable State and County ordinances, the RENTER must ensure that:
No alcoholic beverages are to be served to or by anyone under 21.
RENTER is responsible for verifying the age(s) of any persons serving alcohol.
Any person serving an alcoholic beverage will first check the photo ID of persons being served to confirm they are at least 21 years of age
No alcoholic beverages are to be served to or by an intoxicated person.
NMTS reserves the right to limit or terminate the serving and consumption of alcohol at any time without notice.
Will we need a Special Event Permit?
It is your responsibility to know whether you need a Special Event Permit from the City of Reno for your event. If you do need a Special Event Permit, NMTS will need a copy of the permit 7 days in advance of the event.
Are we responsible room for setup before the event?
NMTS will provide the equipment, space, and furnishings discussed for your event. However, NMTS does not set up the room for your event. Plan to come with enough time to arrange tables and chairs, as well as testing A / V equipment.
Are we responsible for cleaning up after the event?
Yes. We rely on all NMTS users to clean up after use. This includes wiping down and putting away all tables and chairs, taking out trash, cleaning and removing items from the breakroom, and putting away any cords or equipment used. You will be provided with cleaning supplies to leave the space as you found it.
OTHER POLICIES & GUIDELINES
Food & Beverage
NMTS does not have a commercial kitchen for your use. There is a breakroom that is a shared space of NMTS and building tenants. There is some limited refrigeration, along with a sink and counter space.
This space can be reserved for catering staging at no additional cost. This space will need to be reserved at the time of room reservation, if it is needed.
After Hours Access
NMTS’ business hours are Monday through Friday, 9 am - 4 pm (closed holidays). Rooms are primarily available for rent during business hours. NMTS may be able to support after hours events if staffing is available to support your event.
Deliveries
NMTS can receive limited deliveries in advance of your event as part of your preparations. Please communicate what is being delivered and when to ensure safe reception and keeping of your property.
Insurance Policy
NMTS requires documentation of an $1,000,000 liability insurance policy, which names NMTS as an additionally insured party.
Photography
To protect the privacy of NMTS clients, photography and/or filming is restricted if there is potential of capturing the images of NMTS clients or their families.
