Hello –
Well, the word is out and it’s official – NMTS has a new home! We are starting the moving process and will be up and running with programs on July 11th. This initial move is just the beginning of an amazing journey of renovations and improvements that will result in a regional center for music therapy and health that can be a national model for how music can make communities healthier and more whole. We are so grateful the advice, encouragement, and support we have received from our community so far and we can’t wait to share all the exciting project developments. We are also reflecting on the past 16 years we have spent at the McKinley Arts and Culture Center, and I will be sharing some of those thought in my message next month. For now, our first priority is to pack, move, and get set up in our new home! Our New Home – 2590 Orovada St, Reno
We’re proud to announce that Note-Able Music Therapy Services is taking a bold step into an improved future for our community. Our organization has purchased a one-story, 17,000 square foot building on three acres, equipped with classrooms, performance areas, and outdoor spaces for people to explore and enjoy. This new building allows us to match the rapidly growing demand for music therapy in northern Nevada. We are so excited about this new chapter for our organization as are our participants, like Michael Braun! 🙂
NMTS Summer Bash
Join us at OUR NEW HOME (2590 Orovada Street), July 29th at 6pm for a night of music, dance, food and good company! Enjoy music and performances by The Note-Ables, Superstar Dancers, Exploring Music classes, and The EQ’s. Along with music, there’ll be a bubble tent, face painting zone, bounce house and splash zone. Bring a blanket, umbrella and chairs so you can relax and stay cool between all the dancing and fun! We will be giving tours of the new building at 5:30, 5:45, and after the event as well. Can’t wait to see you there!

Food Vendors include Leti’s Tacos and Sweet Paradise Ice Cream, and Trolley Beer & Wine

Soul Notes Music Camp | *Postponed to Fall Break | 2590 Orovada Reno, NV 89512 | This FREE day camp is for 6th-8th grade girls to learn how to identify, process, and express emotions through songwriting and music. No musical experience is required! Space is limited, register today!

Artown at the Airport | Monday, July 25th 3-4pm | Get out of the heat and enjoy some fabulous tunes by The Note-Ables during this Artown at the Airport performance. There will be plenty of seating in the main area of the airport, and the performance is free!

6th Annual Born To Dance | Saturday, August 13th 1-2:30pm | Please join us for our 6th annual dance concert, Born to Dance. You will have a smile on your face when you see these dancers show off their moves. They have been working hard all year to give you a great performance. Bowers Mansion Bluegrass Festival | Saturday, August 20th, noon | Bowers Mansion | The Note-Ables are excited to be back at The Bluegrass Festival. It’s a relaxing day of great music in a beautiful and historic location.
