What’s So Special About Performing?
Performing offers many benefits, including increased confidence, enhanced self-expression, and improved social skills. It also builds resilience, fosters problem-solving, ignites creativity, and provides a sense of accomplishment. At NMTS, we have been committed to providing performance opportunities since the first group, which became The Note-Ables band, asked, “When do we get to perform?” In 2024, NMTS facilitated 12 performance opportunities, allowing over 200 participants to showcase their talents during concerts, recitals, open mic nights, and end-of-camp performances. The Note-Ables performed at more than a dozen gigs, while our singing group The Local Vocals sang at various events, and our dance class members performed at the Pioneer Center’s Dog Days of Summer Dance Festival.
If you’re interested in having NMTS artists perform at your event, please reach out. We can customize a performance to fit your needs, whether you want a professional band for a lively atmosphere or a more educational presentation. Our in-house performance opportunities are made possible by the generous support of our community. If you’d like to underwrite any of our open mic nights, recitals, or concerts, we would love to hear from you!
