Where Music Meets Science (WMMS) is the evolution of the Bluebird Radio Hour, which aired on KWNK Community Radio between October 2020 and December 2021. Funded in part by a grant from Nevada Humanities and the National Endowment for the Humanities, the Bluebird Radio Hour was developed as a way to combat isolation during the pandemic. As the radio show evolved, we received more and more requests for information about how music affects our brains, bodies, and emotions. People wanted to know more about the intersection of music and science. That, combined with the limited audience reach of community radio, led to the creation of the Where Music Meets Science podcast. We hope you enjoy these episodes!
