April 2026

Powered by People Who Care: Celebrating Our Volunteers

April is a time to recognize something truly powerful—the act of giving your time, your presence, and your heart to others. Happy National Volunteer month.

At Note-Able Music Therapy Services, our volunteers are woven into the fabric of everything we do. From supporting programs and events to simply showing up with kindness and consistency, each volunteer helps drive our mission forward.

Volunteering doesn’t just impact those receiving support—it transforms those who give it, too. Studies have shown that volunteering can reduce stress, increase feelings of purpose, and even improve overall mental and physical health. There’s something deeply human about contributing to something larger than ourselves and about being part of a community rooted in care.

At NMTS, we see that impact every day.

To every volunteer who has walked through our doors, shared their time, and contributed to our mission—THANK YOU! Your presence matters more than you know, and the ripple effect of your kindness reaches far beyond any single moment.

— Manal Toppozada, Executive Director

Caring for Our Community, Together

This Earth Day, Note-Able Music Therapy Services is proud to be part of something bigger. Through the America 250 Nevada Commission’s Nevada Gives initiative, NMTS has been selected as a featured community project—bringing people together to care for our shared spaces in a meaningful, hands-on way.

Join us for our Spring Clean-Up + Block Party, where we’ll roll up our sleeves to clean along Orovada Street (from Silverada to just east of NMTS), connect with one another, and make a visible impact right here in our neighborhood.

Our goal: 100 volunteers

After the clean-up, we’ll celebrate with a block party—featuring live music by The Note-Ables, food, and time to relax, connect, and enjoy the community we’ve come together to support.

The Annual NMTS Spring Recital is Here!

We’re so excited to welcome our community to this year’s Annual Spring Recital—a meaningful celebration of creativity, courage, and connection.

Musicians, singers, songwriters, and dancers will take the stage to share what they’ve been working on throughout their sessions. Each performance reflects not only their dedication, but also the unique ways music supports growth, self-expression, and confidence.

For some, this will be their very first time in the spotlight. For others, it’s a continued journey of sharing their voice. No matter where they are in that journey, each individual brings something deeply personal and powerful to the stage.

This event is a beautiful reflection of what NMTS is all about—creating space for individuals of all abilities to be seen, heard, and celebrated through music.
