2022

Hello –

‘Tis the season of gratitude, joy, and hope. I want to take this time to express my gratitude for everyone in our community. To our partners, donors, participants, parents & guardians, trainers, and staff…thank you. I am constantly amazed by what we can accomplish as a community and the positive changes we can bring when we come together. The holidays can be hard for many and I hope you feel that you can lean on us during the hard times and celebrate the good. When I think of the magnitude and reach of our close-knit community I feel not only gratitude, but also joy and hope for the future.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your continued faith in - and support of - our organization.

Happy Holidays!

Manal Toppozada, Founder and Executive Director

Thank you for giving this #GivingTuesday!

You did it!!! Thanks to YOU we met our Giving Tuesday goal! Between your donations and the matching funds from the Stillwater Foundation and Joe Macaluso and Chris Middleton, we raised $30,000 for renovations of our new center for music and health.

We are filled with gratitude for everyone who donated, especially the Stillwater Foundation and Joe Macaluso and Chris Middleton for tripling the impact of each donation we received!

Stand For The Arts Award

Exciting news! We are honored to announce that the Mayor Hillary Schieve has selected NMTS to receive the Stand For The Arts award from Ovation TV, which was accompanied by a $10,000 donation. Stand for the Arts is Ovation TV’s national advocacy platform that raises awareness, protects access, and encourages action on behalf of the arts. Their mission is to ensure the arts remain a vital part of our society and to reinforce the inherent value that the arts, and the creative economy, provide on a national level. Congratulations to Mayor Schieve for being recognized for your arts advocacy in this area, and thank you for choosing NMTS for such a prestigious national award!

Supporters of the Month - Joe Macaluso and Christine Middleton

This month we are so pleased to recognize Joe Macaluso and Christine Middleton, two of our longest and most generous supporters! In their words:

What a terrific organization! We’ve seen Note-able Music Therapy Services grow from a small group of dedicated musicians with disabilities to an important community non-profit serving over 2,000 people annually. And what a bold, phenomenal vision for the future - with the purchase of their new beautiful building/home, NMTS looks to serve over 5,000 people annually in Northern Nevada by 2026 and be a model for music therapy services nationally. Who wouldn’t want to be part of and support this terrific organization? It is always our privilege to support NMTS. When the opportunity presented itself to be part of the NMTS legacy, by supporting their new building capital campaign, we were excited to participate; it really was a no brainer for us.

Thank you Joe and Christine for your years of advice, encouragement, and support. We are so happy that you are part of the NMTS family!

Nominate NMTS for the Scheels Community Partner Award

A couple of clicks can help NMTS earn $10,000 to support more singing, dancing and music playing in 2023. Please take a moment to nominate Note-Able Music Therapy Services for the SCHEELS Community Partner Award and tell them why they should choose NMTS. We appreciate you taking the time to nominate us!
